UEFA has awarded various club competition media rights in Japan to its existing partner SkyPerfecTV. The rights concern the 2009-12 UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup matches in 2009, 2010 and 2011, and the 2009-2012 UEFA Europa League.
Extensive coverage
SkyPerfecTV, a leading pay operator in Japan, will deliver extensive coverage of each competition in the form of live matches, highlights and delayed match programmes. As part of this agreement, weekly UEFA Champions League highlights and magazines as well as the full transmission of the final stages of each competition will be shown on free-to-air television. The broadcaster will also exploit the rights it has been awarded for both competitions on the internet via skyperfectv.co.jp and on mobile.
