The Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) announced that China Central Television (CCTV) will be the exclusive Rights Holding Broadcaster for the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games in Mainland China.
CCTV is contracted to be the exclusive Rights Holding Broadcaster for the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games in Mainland China, with entitlements of broadcasting the Games through television and new media.
CCTV will be sending more than 1,000 staff members to be involved in covering the Games.
Xu Ruisheng, Executive Deputy Secretary General of GAGOC and Vice Mayor of Guangzhou Municipal Government, and Jiang Heping, Director of CCTV Sports Channel (CCTV 5), attended the ceremony. Fang Da'er, Director of GAGOC Marketing Department, and Jiang Heping signed an agreement, authorising CCTV as the Games Rights Holding Broadcaster.
