Rome's Golden Gala athletics meeting will become part of the new Diamond League next year, organisers said in a statement on Monday.
The Diamond League, which will replace and expand on the Golden League series, already has several confirmed meetings including London, New York and China.
This year's Golden Gala is on July 10 but Rome organisers said the 2010 meeting could move to early June as part of the changes.
