It is known from the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) that a series of test events will be held at Asian Games competition venues in the coming months to prepare for the smooth running the Games.
Deputy Secretary General of GAGOC Tian Xinde said:" There will be test events of small scale in the coming August or September while large scale ones will be held in November. And more test competitions are scheduled for next March."
It is learned that GAGOC is to initiate test events for 30 sports of the 16th Asian Games , among which some non-Olympic sports will make a debut to the public.
GAGOC is to take test events as an opportunity to slide into the new Asian Games venues, to test GAGOC's follow-up work and to make sure relevant facilities are operating normally.
As for the Asiad food from designated suppliers, it will employ an all-around food safety monitoring and tracking mechanism throughout the process of purchasing, production, processing and transport before it is delivered.
