The international SPORTFIVE Group is restructuring its operations and will from now on consist of three business units: 'Germany', 'France and Africa' and 'International'. The International unit led by Joachim Hilke will unite the former International TV and Media Rights and International Marketing departments. The Germany unit will continue to be managed by Philipp Hasenbein, Managing Director of SPORTFIVE GmbH & Co. KG, and Christophe Bouchet will continue to supervise the France and Africa business unit. Trevor Birch will coordinate the restructuring in his role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SPORTFIVE.

The future CEOs of the three business units will now report directly to Olivier Guiguet, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lagardère Sports. Among other things, the restructuring gives the Business Units greater autonomy and responsibility.

"Now that the various teams within SPORTFIVE, from different nationalities, cultures, geographies and Business Units are working successfully hand in hand, I have taken the decision to restructure SPORTFIVE and to reorganize responsibilities. The time has come to strengthen and give more autonomy to the different Business Units in order to foster SPORTFIVE's development. The future CEOs of the three business units will be fully empowered and responsible for their Unit's performance," says Olivier Guiguet, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lagardère Sports.

He adds: "As a result of this re-organisation, Richard Worth has stepped down from his position as CEO and left the company. I would like to thank Richard Worth for the important contributions he has made to the stability of the future of SPORTFIVE in his two years with the company."
