The Tour Players’ Foundation, the charitable foundation of The European Tour and its Members, has announced it will be working with PR sports specialist ENS.
The Tour Players’ Foundation, initiated by the players and established by The European Tour in 2006, fundraises for, and makes donations and grants to, voluntary bodies and charities that have the full support of the Members, particularly in those regions around the world where European Tour events are held.
ENS, which works with numerous sports charities, has been asked to help raise the profile of the newly rebranded foundation, especially in the sports trade, charity, consumer and business media.
Mark Roe, the Tour Players’ Foundation Chairman, explained: “The Trustees felt that our new name would give us a stronger, more easily identifiable brand. This would be a good platform for promoting our work in golf as well as across the worlds of sport, business and charity but to do this successfully we also needed to work with a media expert in these areas. Having seen ENS’ work for other clients, we know its team is perfectly placed to do this.”
Rebecca Hopkins, MD of ENS, said: “ENS enjoys an enviable track record of securing positive coverage for many organisations in sport, not least of all those working in the charity sector. Consequently, when we were approached to work with the Tour Players Foundation the team were very excited as we know we can help the Foundation make the impact it deserves.”
