First Asian Games test event kicks off 04/08/2009 |

The Asian Women's Handball Invitation Tournament, which is also the first test event for the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games, kicked off at Huangcun Sports Base in Guangzhou on Sunday.
Six teams take part in the tournament, including a team from Busan of South Korea and five teams from China's Guangdong, Anhui, Shandong, Shanghai and Sichuan. Guangdong easily beat Sichun on Match Day 1.
Co-hosted by the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) and Sports Bureau of Guangdong Province, the tournament is the first test event for the 16th Asian Games, which will be held November 12-27, 2010 in Guangzhou.
In August and September this year, GAGOC will also hold test events of Baseball, Softball and BMX for the Asian Games.
