SPORTFIVE signs media rights deal with Scottish Rugby 18/08/2009 |

SPORTFIVE has signed a media consultancy and international distribution agreement with Scottish Rugby (SRU). The deal will see SPORTFIVE exclusively marketing the worldwide media rights to all Scottish Rugby's international matches at home from 2009 through to 2013 inclusive. SPORTFIVE will also be responsible for the worldwide signal distribution over this period.
"We are looking forward to a successful partnership with SPORTFIVE", Scottish Rugby's chief executive Gordon McKie said. "SPORTFIVE has much to offer. They have worldwide experience across a number of sports in marketing rights and we believe they can assist us to secure better TV coverage of the game of rugby in Scotland."
Walter Böhm, Vice President TV and Media Rights UK at SPORTFIVE, said: "We look forward to working with Scottish Rugby on the international stage. Scotland enjoys the reputation of being a quality rugby nation. We will work hand in hand with Scottish Rugby to assist them in selling their media rights worldwide."
