COCAN 2010 partners with Williams F1
 24/08/2009

COCAN2010 has confirmed in Valencia, this weekend, a ground-breaking new partnership with the British-based Williams Formula One team to promote the 2010 African Cup of Nations which will be hosted by Angola on 10th January next year.

Angola was awarded the right to host the 27th edition of the African Cup of Nations by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The partnership between COCAN2010 and one of the most iconic Formula One teams in the sport’s history will see two major sporting properties come together to raise the profile of Africa’s premier football championship, a game which unites the continent.

Under this agreement, the COCAN2010 logo will be displayed on the rear wing of the team’s cars for the remaining seven rounds of the Grand Prix season. Similarly, COCAN2010 will be able to leverage the powerful branding opportunities afforded by a globally recognized team as Williams F1 through the application of its team logo in media and communication campaigns.

On the new partnership, Williams F1’s CEO, Adam Parr commented, “An important event for Africa and Angola, Williams is proud to be able to support and promote Angola’s COCAN2010 football tournament by running the campaign’s branding on the team’s race cars for the rest of the season”.
