EHF signs two-year partnership with bet-at-home.com
 01/09/2009

EHF Marketing GmbH, the marketing arm of the European Handball Federation (EHF), announced the sealing of a two-year partnership deal with one of the market leaders in online betting services, bet-at-home.com.

EHF Marketing sets great importance on working closely together with high-profile partners. The partnership with bet-at-home.com underlines the dedication of the company to handball and to the EHF Champions League in particular. The company had partnership ties with the flagship EHF club competition already in the season 2006/07.

The partnership will allow bet-at-home.com to advertise in the handball arenas throughout Europe. bet-at-home.com will thus be present at all the Men’s and Women’s EHF Champions League matches for the next two seasons. The partnership will be valid for the other EHF club competitions such as EHF Cup, the Cup Winners’ Cup and the Challenge Cup as well as for the European Cup finals.

ehfTV.com will continue its service of streaming top games live from the EHF Champions League – in partnership with bet-at-home.com. The agreement states that the sports betting company will be the exclusive presenter of live matches available free of charge for the handball fans via the internet streaming platform.

EHF Marketing Managing Director, Peter Vargo, emphasises that the deal was made with a reliable partner company: “We are very satisfied to have bet-at-home.com back in the boat. The previous partner from the field of online sports betting asked for early termination of the cooperation due to a strategic change planned by the company. bet-at-home.com has shown its dedication towards handball on several occasions and we have very positive experience from our earlier period of cooperation. We are looking forward to a fruitful partnership where the two parties shall reach the common goals set out.”

Bet-at-home.com CEO, Jochen Dickinger: “Handball plays an important role in our sponsoring strategy, because our core markets in Eastern Europe, Germany and Spain take a great interest. Currently we are sponsoring partner of the Romanian-, the Czech Handball Federation and the Handball League of Spain. We also had a very good experience with the World Championship in Croatia. Due to a great TV presence combined with on-site promotion activities, we will be able to extend our position on the markets further on.”
