The reconstruction of Warsaw’s Legia stadium bodes well for excellent working conditions for the media.
The stadium could be classed in the “Elite Category” and the modern technical facilities used as a model for the future.
“All the requirements are being fulfilled, and we expect that the majority of the work will be completed in a year,” said a source from the Municipality of Warsaw which is the owner of this beautiful stadium. The complete inauguration will occur in the Spring of 2011.
The structure will hold 35,000 spectators on three tribunes and include 800 parking spaces. The excellent museum of the Klub Pilkarski Legia Warszawa (Legia Warsaw Football Club) will remain under a covered tribune.
Five hundred million Zloties (around 120 million Euros) will be spent on the stadium’s upgrade. This stadium is out of the next European Football Championship, hosted by Poland and Ukraine. For the EURO 2012 Poland will use the National Stadium in Warsaw.
