Over the past several years, we've seen PokerStars pop up in professional basketball, hockey, auto racing and countless other sports. Now PokerStars has written another chapter in its long history of partnering with the world of sports. Starting soon, rugby fans in England are going to start seeing a lot more of the world's biggest online poker site.
The Rugby Football Union (RFU), the National Governing Body for the game in England, has just taken on PokerStars as its official gaming and casino partner for the England team.
Before long, PokerStars is going to be all over Twickenham stadium.
Starting in November, rugby fans will start seeing a lot more of PokerStars and enjoy a lot of what the site has to offer. And what's that?
For starters, PokerStars will be offering exclusive tournaments in which players will be able to win tickets to all England rugby matches. There's more, but we're all going to have to wait to see what it is.
PokerStars' newest venture joins such big time rugby sponsors as O2, Nike, Green Flag, Land Rover, EDF Energy and Emirates Airlines.
