MP & Silva has been awarded the international media rights for Italy’s Serie A league for a further two seasons.
The Italian Football League (Lega Calcio) retained MP & Silva for the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons after a tender process which saw the 20 Serie A clubs vote in the company’s favour 18-2. The rights cover all platforms, including television, internet and mobile, in all territories worldwide excluding Italy.
The company has worked with Serie A since 2004 and Lega Calcio Serie A board chairman Massimo Cellino said: “Riccardo Silva [MP & Silva’s president] is a reliable partner for Serie A and it’s always a great pleasure to work with him and MP & Silva.”
As well as Serie A, MP & Silva also holds the rights for the Barclays Premier League (in Japan and Vietnam), French Ligue 1 (across a number of Asian territories) and Major League Soccer (worldwide), as well as for various club channels such as Arsenal TV (worldwide excluding the UK), Aston Villa TV (worldwide) and AC Milan Channel (worldwide).
MP & Silva has seven offices around the world in Singapore, Dubai, Milan, Miami, Tokyo, New York and Monaco.
