ATTU and IEC in Sports expand Asian Table Tennis broadcast 09/11/2009 |

IEC in Sports has been exclusively appointed to distribute the broadcast for the 2010 Asian Cup and the Euro-Asia Challenge (Asia-leg), by the Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU)
IEC is distributing the Asian Table Tennis Championships, which take place November 16-22 2009 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Broadcast is confirmed across the Middle East, China, Japan, India, Singapore and Hong Kong. Indian state broadcaster Doordashan is host broadcaster.
“This is a major step for table tennis in India and will promote the sport to a whole new domestic audience as well as millions of table tennis fans via television” said D.R. Choudhary, Secretary General of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TFFI).
“We are pleased that the vision of the late Mool Chand Chowhan – President of TFFI and the driving force behind India staging these Championships, can be fulfilled” said Mr. Li Furong, President of the Asian Table Tennis Union.
"With eyes on India and the upcoming Commonwealth Games, it's reassuring to see excellent preparations on this event that involves World Champions and Olympic and Asian Games medallists" said Jonas Persson, CEO of IEC in Sports.
IEC has represented the broadcast rights for ATTU's major events since 2002 and this compliments the long-term relationship with the International Table Tennis Federation - the governing body of the sport, since 1996.
