Universal Sports has signed a rights deal with the International Skating Union (ISU) to broadcast the sport’s biggest events, including the World Figure Skating Championships, in the United States until 2013.
Universal Sports and UniversalSports.com will also feature coverage of the ISU Speed Skating Championships and the ISU European Figure Skating Championships as part of the deal.
Universal Sports chairman and chief executive Claude Ruibal said: “These prestigious events will provide our consumers with what has traditionally been some of the most compelling and entertaining Olympic sports coverage. As a new sports network, we are proud and encouraged that ISU has selected Universal Sports as their USA distributor
